Shocking Save The Children video asks: What if Surrey was Syria?

| blog, L&B World, News | August 31, 2015

It’s Monday morning.

You try to drop the kids at school but it is shut.

You go to the corner shop to pick up some milk and there is nothing on the shelves, then they try and charge you £8 for a can of coke.

Hacked off, you head home when you see a gang of men have built a road block at the end of your street and are refusing to let an ambulance past that is carrying a mother and her sick child.

It sounds like something from an ‘end of the world’ disaster movie but it is actually the situation families in Syria face every day.

Aaargh! Picture NASA
Aaargh! Picture NASA

A space reptile with a unicorn-like horn and one giant boggle eye has popped up to take a look at the Mars Rover.

The Satanic-looking reptile is ‘evidence of intelligent life,’ says UFO enthusiast Scott Waring – a UFO expert who also spotted a strange ‘dark lady’ watching the Rover last month.

We should point out that Waring also recently spotted a green ‘alien leg’ in Mars Rover’s footage, which turned out to the Rover’s own power cable.

Waring says, ‘While looking over a Mars photo, I found a lot of amazing structures, but the most important of them all is the life form.

‘Alien warship’ spotted on NASA feed ‘blasting Earth with plasma’

| blog, L&B World, News | August 31, 2015

UFO bright lights GIF

It’s a scene straight out of really bad science fiction – an alien warship ‘decloaks’ above a helpless planet before unleashing plasma blasts onto the surface.

But the weird glowing object was captured by a Space Station camera – before NASA’s camera feed cut out.

Cue jarring chords.

UFO enthusiast Scott Waring says: ‘ How much longer will NASA go on with this charade?’

Well, indeed.

Fat people are ‘hardwired’ to crave food, scientists believe (Picture: Getty)

Fat people crave greasy, high-calorie food in much the same way drug addicts crave their fix, scientists say.

Scientists tempted obese people with buffet-style snacks, then scanned their brains with magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) scans as they looked at photos of the food they had just eaten.

Looking at the images fired a connection between two specific brain areas – the dorsal caudate and the somatosensory cortex – neural changes similar to those seen in drug addiction.

Further research showed that 11% of weight gain in obese individuals over a period of three months could be predicted by the presence of higher dorsal caudate – somatosensory cortex connectivity.

If you’re worried that you might suddenly murder your spouse or a member of your family in a savage, inexplicable killing, there could be hope.

Experts have found tell-tale warning signs which predict ‘spontaneous domestic homicide’ – and say that such killers often have several things in common.

People who are likely to ‘snap’ and kill wives or family members tend to be men, and tend to have relatively few criminal convictions.

They also tend to be less intelligent, and have cognitive impairments such as difficulties with planning, memory or attention.

They also tend to be mentally ill, and are especially likely to have psychotic disorders.

‘The findings provide important information that may help prevent future domestic homicides, because they help identify individuals at risk of committing… Read the full story
