You may never have heard of Princess Michael of Kent, but she allegedly made some rather interesting comments about the rights of animals.

And people are upset.

The princess, who is married to the Queen’s cousin, allegedly made several remarks at the Henley Literary Festival during a discussion about her new novel, Agnes Sorel: Mistress of Beauty.

‘I’m a great animal lover and I’m involved in a lot of conservation, but animals don’t have rights. They don’t have bank accounts. They don’t vote,’ she is reported to have said.

‘We have obligation. We have obligation to… Read the full story

Mr Corbyn’s views on Trident have upset some of his shadow cabinet (Picture: PA)

Jeremy Corbyn’s outspoken views on Trident have, to say the least, upset some of his shadow cabinet.

His comments today are unlikely to help the matter.

Shadow defence secretary Maria Eagle criticised the new Labour leader when he said he would not ‘press the button’ to fire nuclear weapons were he prime minister and added that the comments ‘undermined to some degree attempts to try and get a policy process going.’

In response, Mr Corbyn argued that ‘nuclear weapons didn’t do the USA… Read the full story

‘The only thing that’s changed is everything.’

This is the already famous tagline for Apple’s iPhone 6s, and as taglines go, it’s pretty gutsy. It’s the type of blurb you usually see under the face of an American presidential candidate, or on a giant… Read the full story

There’s something wrong with this picture… but it’s not exactly as it seems

| blog, Careers, L&B World, World | September 30, 2015

This photo showing a group of white people sitting under a banner that says ‘Here Are All The Black People’ has ruffled a few feathers.

But the image from New York’s Advertising Week yesterday was not as crazy as it looked.

The all-white panel was actually from a splinter event called ‘Advertising for Good’, according to Agency Spy.

And the banner for the main Here Are All The Black People careers fair, which did feature African Americans, had been left up.

The event helped students from diverse backgrounds find jobs.

Despite this explanation, we admit there were still questions to answer regarding diversity considering the all-white panel, although there were black speakers present as the video below shows.

That said, we don’t blame many who took to Twitter to complain and some of their points could be seen… Read the full story

John Mogan, 28, and his girlfriend Ashley Duboe, 24, were charged with bank robbery after posting selfies with wads of cash on Facebook.

In one of the pictures, Mogan pretends the wad is his phone. In several others, he poses with the wad in his mouth.

| blog, L&B World, World | September 30, 2015

This is the inspirational (or embarrassing) story of two old men who ran up an escalator so they could get their hands on free hamburgers.

It may not sound like the most rousing of tales but you’ll definitely be moved once you watch this video, which was taken last week.

The two elderly men could be seen struggling to get up the moving staircase in Lodz, Poland, after deciding to take a shortcut because of huge queues.
