A woman has been arrested after she admitted on Facebook that she had stabbed her boyfriend to death.

Nakasia James posted online that she’d killed Dorian Powell, 21, last week adding that she was on the run from police.

But she’s now been caught and arrested in San Bernardino, California.

A breast surgeon suspended over complaints regarding operations he carried out has been charged with 21 counts of wounding with intent to cause harm.

Ian Paterson appeared at Birmingham Magistrates Court today charged with unlawfully and maliciously wounding with the intention to do grievous bodily harm, contrary to the Offences Against the Person Act 1861, the Crown Prosecution Service said.

All the offences alleged to have taken place are said to have happened between 1997 and 2011.

Council officials have banned vases at a cemetery over fears they could be sued of people trip up.

Lostwithiel town council in Cornwall has given people until the end of January to get rid of the vases and ‘living plants’ or they’ll be thrown away.

Janet Haley, who has three relatives buried there and she was told about the ban by a councillor who cited health and safety reasons.

She said: ‘She told me “I fell over one, and they are very dangerous – I could have injured myself quite seriously, but fortunately I didn’t”.

That’s according to the very complicated formula above (see below for an explanation).

But Tesco has said that it wants to help temper people’s dejection.

The corporate giant is offering some free food at many stores across the UK between 3.30pm and 5.30pm today. A spokesman for the company said it’s likely to be in the larger stores.

Fears are growing for a British backpacker who took a running jump off a bridge in Australia into a river ‘for a bit of fun’.

Inspector Sean Cryer of Brisbane police said the 30 year old had been missing since he jumped off the William Jolly Bridge in Brisbane’s central business district on Sunday night.
